The University Of Newcastle
The university’s main Callaghan campus is placed on 140 hectares of natural bushland and has a student population of 35,500. It is ranked in the Australian top 10 for research funding and outcomes.
A masterplan was prepared for two campuses of the Newcastle University as a response to the vision to be a university of distinction, with outstanding teaching and research and to be a responsive, dynamic and strong organisation. With the new strategic vision in mind the university launched a visual brand. Minale Tattersfield together with the university developed a wayfinding strategy and design of signage which incorporates the new brand identity to present a cohesive and defined presence on campus and in the local community.
The new signage system is functional and conspicuous with the aim of improving wayfinding around the vast main campus and its smaller satellite campus.
